First Day of Classes

The first day of school for students is staggered:

  • CSSI students - more information will be emailed directly to families.
  • Grade 6 students - Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
  • Grades 7-9 students who are NEW to MPS - Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
  • ALL STUDENTS in all grades- Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

The school office is open to parents on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 with the following hours: 

  • 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM

These office hours are in effect until Friday, August 29, 2025, after which we will return to our regular hours:  

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:45 AM – 2:00 PM

Lunch Supervision

School Supplies

Grade 6
Most of the daily supplies for grade 6 will be provided and will come from the standard parent fee. Please supply your child with the following items: 

  • Backpack
  • 2 inch binder
  • Pencil case
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Athletic shoes for daily Physical Education
  • Drawstring bag for gym strip (PE teachers will provide gym strip information in Aug.)

*Please label all items with the student’s first and last name.  Also, write their first and last name in Sharpie on the front cover of the binder.

Grades 7, 8, and 9
Daily supplies are not provided for students in grades 7-9, nor is there a standard parent fee. Students are responsible for their supplies and must come to class with the adequate materials ready for learning. Teachers of grade 7-9 students do not provide supplies, and in cases where students are not arriving with what they need, a message may be relayed home to add or replace missing, lost, or damaged items.
Please supply your child with the following items:

  • Athletic shoes for daily Physical Education
  • Drawstring bag for gym strip (PE teachers will provide gym strip information in Aug.)

  • 2 inch Binder
  • Pencils (lots!)

  • Scientific Calculator (no phones permitted)
