Important Parent Learning Opportunity: Social Media & Technology Safety 

As parents and caregivers, we know that helping adolescents navigate social media, smartphones, online gaming, artificial intelligence, and digital relationships can be both challenging and overwhelming. The online world is changing rapidly, and staying informed is one of the most effective ways we can support the safety, well-being, and healthy development of our children.

We are pleased to share an invitation our amazing Mountain Park School Council, which is sponsoring a parent presentation featuring renowned digital safety expert Paul Davis. Mr. Davis will be presenting to all our students during the school day on Sept 17 and we will be using time during a homeroom series before and after the presentation designed to build on the information learned. We strongly encourage all parents and caregivers to attend this important and informative evening.

In addition to the Weekly Update posted each week to our School Website, parents and guardians can expect to see classroom weekly updates in each class D2L ‘shell’. If you are new to D2L, this is a virtual classroom environment where teachers post weekly updates, resources and pertinent information for each class.
