MPS Weekly Update | February 28, 2025

As we wrap up a busy month of February, we want to thank all the MPS students, staff and volunteers who organized and attended the Hitmen Be Brave hockey game this week at the Saddledome. It was an epic way to build community and belonging for our young Wolverines, to celebrate Pink Shirt Day and raise awareness of the importance of being kind to others... and the Hitmen won the game!

We also celebrated the musical debut of our talented Grade 6 students in a stellar group performance conducted by Ms. Wahl that was recorded yesterday and will be shared with parents and guardians.

Here are a few updates for the week ahead:

Grade 6 and 7 Outdoor School with Kamp Kiwanis | April 23-25

What a great turnout at our virtual Parent Information Session this week! We are excited to have the planning underway for what will surely be an incredible 2-night, 3-day learning opportunity to be remembered...

We are including a Parent Information Manual to recap the key information presented, as well as the MPS Outdoor School Application Form. Hard copies will be available starting on Monday, March 3 in the main office. All forms and accompanying deposits (check or cash) must be returned to the main office by Monday, March 10th.

Parking

We thank you for not entering the school parking lot when dropping off or picking up students as it is reserved for CBE staff only and presents a safety concern when other vehicles are present. Importantly, accessible parking stalls nearest the door must only be used by vehicles with the appropriate placard.

YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre Field

Grade 6's are going to YouthLink on the following days.  Fees are now due and can be paid online through your MyCBE account.  If you have any questions, please call the office at 403-777-6442.
