MPS Weekly Update | November 22, 2024

Parent/Teacher Conferences | Nov 28-29

Teachers are looking forward to meeting with students and their parents/guardians to discuss learning progress. This is an excellent opportunity to connect, clarify needed information and to ensure that each MPS student is successful.

When:

·       Thursday, Nov 28 | 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm (in person @ MPS)

·       Friday, Nov 29 | 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (virtual)

How:

·       Log in to School Conference Manager and book starting at 6:00 pm on Wed., Nov 20

·       The booking system will close at 9:00 am on Thur., Nov 28

Please Note:

·       If you do not see a teacher in your child’s School Conference Manager, this means all time slots have been filled for that teacher. In this case, please reach out to that teacher directly to make alternate arrangements.

·       Each individual teacher requires a separate meeting. For example, if your child has 8 different teachers (math, science, language arts, social studies, P.E., homeroom, foods, art), and you want to meet with every teacher, you would need to book 8 different conferences.

·       It is not required to book a conference with every teacher - unless you want to!

·       Check out this short ‘how-to’ video to walk you through booking a conference. Technical help is also available for booking and joining conferences.

·       In advance of your scheduled meeting time, we recommend that you take a few minutes to review your student’s progress and updated marks in PowerSchool and prepare any questions you may have for the teacher. As a refresher, we have another ‘how-to’ video on how to view Assignments and Marks in PowerSchool.

Please contact our main office if you have any questions or require support.
