MPS Weekly Update | Jan 23, 2026

We wrapped up the week with a joyful, student-led school-wide assembly that brought our learning community together to celebrate Semester 1 across curricular areas, the arts, and CTF. Our Grade 8/9 band performed for their peers, following an outstanding Grade 7–9 and Jazz Band Winter Concert the night before. With over 300 audience members and standing room only, the concert was a huge success, featuring terrific ensemble and solo performances from our talented students.

The assembly today started with students sharing their personal Land Acknowledgement and focused on the theme of courage and confidence, reminding us that confidence grows when we find the courage to try new things, make new friends, ask for help, and persevere through challenges. We were also thrilled to use our new gym AV system for the first time, made possible through the generosity of our wonderful School Council.

We’re looking forward to another exciting week ahead with several upcoming field trips and events.
