MPS Weekly Update | January 31, 2025

The cold weather is upon us and we want to take this opportunity to underscore the importance of dressing appropriately and using extra caution during the winter months getting to and from school. When the weather reaches -20 including the wind chill, MPS will have indoor lunch with activities planned in the school for the duration of the lunch period.  Please visit our Cold Weather Days page for more information and the CBE Response to Winter Weather.

Grade 9 High School Registration

On Monday, January 27th, our grade 9 students had the opportunity to visit their designated high school, Lord Beaverbrook. We hope that they enjoyed their visit and had the chance to see the various facilities that are available to them next year. Students who are designated to Lord Beaverbrook have also received their high school registration forms, which were initialed with teacher recommendations. Students need to complete the form (choosing a PE and their complementary choices), and return their forms to the ELA teacher (Ms. LeBlanc or Mr. MacDonald). If you have any questions about specific recommendations, please reach out to that specific teacher. If you have any questions about the high school registration process, please contact Ms. LeBlanc (hlleblanc@cbe.ab.ca). These forms are due back by Wednesday, February 12th.
