Dear MPS Families,
As we close out the 2025-2026 school year, we want to take the opportunity to wish our community the very best for a summer filled with relaxation, adventure and time to connect with family and friends. It has been an incredible school year with so much to celebrate both in and out of the classroom, with changes and challenges that have strengthened our learning community.
For our new and returning families, you can expect to receive a welcome email from your student's homeroom teacher by 3pm on Friday, August 28th. This email will contain all the start-up details you will need. This year, ALL grades will start school on August 31 for the full day. In the meantime, feel free to visit our website for any updates on back-to-school information.
Farewell to our wonderful Grade 9 students and their families as well as those moving away. We will miss your presence at MPS but know that you are remarkable young people who will thrive wherever you go and represent us well. Thank you for the unforgettable memories made and relationships built. It has been a true pleasure watching you grow and we hope you will come back to visit.
Staffing Updates
Samantha Lefebvre
As we say goodbye to Ms. Samantha Lefebvre, I want to thank her for the support and dedication shown during her time at Mountain Park in the TASC class. She made a meaningful impact with students and staff this year and we wish her the very best as she moves into a new specialized setting role in the CBE.
Heather Birky
Ms. Birky, who has been a valued part of our teaching team, is taking some time away from teaching to be with her family. We are grateful for the care, enthusiasm and expertise she has brought to MPS students each day and wish her the very best in this exciting chapter.
Cindy Lisk
Ms. Lisk is taking the next year away from teaching. We thank her for her thoughtful approach to working with students in the Humanities department and creating engaging learning opportunities for our students. All the best Ms. Lisk in the year ahead!
Additional staffing announcements will be shared in our welcome back message in late August.
Please note that the school office will be closed for the summer and will reopen on August 26 at 9:00 a.m. There will be no staff in the building during this time, and emails or phone messages may not be responded to until the office reopens.
From all of us at MPS, thank you for your partnership and enjoy the long days of summer ahead...
