MPS Weekly Update | November 28, 2025
We concluded this week with a busy night of School Conferences and online conferences during the day today. Teachers enjoyed the opportunity to connect and have insightful conversations with families as we aim to know our learners at MPS better.
Conferences are but one way we communicate student learning progress. If you missed this opportunity but wish to speak with any of your child’s teachers, please reach out via email to schedule a meeting or phone call at any time during the school year. Your feedback and ongoing communication is valued and a key component for student success.
A reminder that due to labour action, the dates for releasing Report Cards has been adjusted to February 24, 2026.
Donations Needed
Grade 6 Health and Wellness students are working on a special community service project focused on empathy and we need your help! We are seeking donations of Christmas or holiday-themed scrapbook paper, stickers, glitter, ribbon, and other craft supplies. If you have any extras tucked away, please consider sending them to the office, attention Ms. Hunt. Thank you for your generous support!
Drama | Spring Production
This year’s school play will be "The Bakers Street Irregulars". First appearing in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original Sherlock Holmes story A Study in Scarlet, the Baker Street Irregulars are a group of street urchins who assist Holmes from time to time. This time around, they may be Scotland Yard’s only hope! Auditions are happening from Dec 1st to 4th. Students who would like to participate need to pick up an audition form from Mrs. Taylor in the drama room and sign-up for their audition time slot after school.
School Council | Casino Volunteers Still Needed
Mountain Park School’s Casino Fundraiser is rapidly approaching on December 11 & 12 at the Deerfoot Inn, and we need your help to make it a success! This event plays a huge role in enhancing the learning experience for all MPS students, and it’s a fun way to connect with our amazing school community. No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to help! Sign up for a shift here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0F4BA9A928A6F49-58308634-mountain
