Science 8 Field Trip: 

Please bring back your field trip forms to Ms. Birky or Mr. Stickel as soon as possible. The due date for field trip forms is Monday, January 22nd. Fees are posted on PowerSchool. 

 

We are seeking more volunteers for our Field Trip to the Science Centre on Monday, January 29th. If you have your Police Information Check completed, please submit it to the office and reach out to Ms. Birky or Mr. Stickel for more information.

High School Tour: Lord Beaverbrook

We will be taking our grade 9 students on a tour of Lord Beaverbrook the morning of January 30^th. More information will follow in the New Year. Parents and students are encouraged to book their calendars for LBHS Open House the evening of January 29^th. Please see their invitation here.

Report Cards:

By January 30^th, parents and guardians will be able to view student report cards in your MyCBE account. The report card is one of the ways teachers communicate how your child is progressing in their learning. Teachers may also communicate learning progress through parent/teacher conferences, your child’s daily work and assignments, and other ongoing communication with you. One of the primary tools used at MPS is Brightspace by D2L. We recommend that parents sit together with their child to review each of their classes in Brightspace. Here, you will see updates on weekly assignments, content and resources. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teachers with any questions or concerns at any point in the school year.  

 

Yearbooks:

Our 2023 2024 Yearbooks are now available for purchase.

Fees:

As the end of the first semester is fast approaching, we encourage you to please take a look at your My CBE PowerSchool account for outstanding fees.  These are located under the student fees & service registration tab.  They are for Field trips, Optional Course Fees, Noon Hour Activity Fee and Athletics

Just a reminder that the Grade 6 concert next week on Jan 25 is postponed.

Grade 7/8/9 Band Workshop Forms are due Monday Jan 22. 2 Female and 2 Male chaperones are required for the trip.  Please email mpsmusicparentssociety@gmail.com if you are able to volunteer.  A police clearance is required.  

Grade 9 Workshop with LBHS Band Conductor Scott Campbell is on Wed Jan 24 at 8:00 am.
