Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs)
These standardized tests are administered annually in May and June to all Alberta students in grades 6 and 9. They reflect the essential skills and knowledge that all students in the province of Alberta are expected to achieve. It is important to note that PATs are only one of numerous and continuous ways teachers evaluate students throughout the school year.
Parents who wish to learn more about these assessments can access the guides provided by Alberta Education below:
Attendance throughout the day during scheduled exams is important and remains an expectation. As per our usual procedure, we appreciate parents and guardians reporting any student absences via our attendance line (mpsattendance@cbe.ab.ca).
IPPs – Signatures Needed
As we approach the end of the year, teachers have assessed student’s progress in relation to goals set in their Individual Program Plans and have included their observations in “current learning”. IPPs have been distributed Friday, June 14th.
Please review the IPP with added observations and then sign under the FINAL REVIEW DATE on the signature page and return it to the Main Office.
Report Cards
Families will be able to view online student report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 from June 26 – July 26, 2024. Report cards for the 2023-24 school year may be viewed, downloaded and/or printed.
Parents and Guardians can sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information. For best access to information, log in to the MyCBE portal instead of using the PowerSchool App.
