Understanding Vaping - Child & Youth Well-Being Family & Caregiver Series

The first session of this year's Child & Youth Well-Being Family and Caregiver Series is on Nov. 16th from 6:30 – 8 p.m., hosted in partnership with AHS.  We will present the health implications of vaping and how to engage in challenging conversations with young people about it.  This virtual event is open to all parents and staff to attend.  

 

Fees and Yearbooks:

Our 2023 2024 Yearbooks are now available for purchase. 

We have created a video tutorial to help you pay fees and purchase yearbooks on your PowerSchool parent account.

 

School Council Meeting:

A reminder that parents are welcome to join us at our November School Council meeting on Monday, November 6^th at 6:30 pm in the Learning Commons. Looking forward to seeing you there!

 

Scholastic Book Fair:

Mark your calendars!  The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our School.  It will take place on November 20-24, 2023.

 

Your investment in your reader helps our whole school.  All purchases earn Scholastic Dollars that can be redeemed for books and educational resources for our school’s classrooms and library.

Band: 

MPS Music Parent Meeting is on Nov 7 @ 6:30 pm Band forms and fees are past due.  Please ensure all forms and fees are completed and returned to the band office.

The Cookie Dough Fundraiser is off to a great start!  If you are interested in Perogies, Cookie Dough, Spreads and Cinnamon Buns the link to the website is https://online.ultimatefundraising.ca/mountainparkband/cookiesandperogies  Orders are due Nov. 6.  Thank you for supporting our band. 

Grade 9 Band students will be having a mandatory rehearsal on Tuesday Nov 7 at 8:00 am to prepare for the Remembrance Day Ceremony.

 

Athletics:

If you are picking up you child early or if your child is leaving with another parent for school athletics, please either email us on our attendance email mpsattendance@cbe.ab.ca or send a note with the relevant information, so that we can allow them to leave in a timely manner.

 

Option Course Fees:

Applicable option course fees are now available for payment.  We encourage you to please take a look at the fees located under the student fees & service registration tab when you log into your my CBE/PowerSchool account.  If you have any questions about your my CBE/PowerSchool account please click this useful link full of FAQ’s.

Second semester fees have also been applied to your account.  You can wait until the semester begins on February 1, 2024 to pay these fees.
