Bussing Information:

Now that cold weather is upon us and there maybe busing delays, a reminder to dress appropriately for the weather.  Please register for the MyBusStop App. and stay informed.

 

Please do your initial registration on a computer.

·       Go to the CBE website at www.cbe.ab.ca

·       Click on the Schools drop down

·       Busing and Transportation

·       Scroll down and click on the MyBusStop icon

·       Follow the registration instructions

·       For the school code go to your PowerSchool account click on busing and find the app code

 

Athletics:

If you are picking up you child early or if your child is leaving with another parent for school athletics, please either email us on our attendance email mpsattendance@cbe.ab.ca or send a note with the relevant information, so that we can allow them to leave in a timely manner.

 

Option Course Fees:

Applicable option course fees are now available for payment.  We encourage you to please take a look at the fees located under the student fees & service registration tab when you log into your my CBE/PowerSchool account.  If you have any questions about your my CBE/PowerSchool account please click this useful link full of FAQ’s.

Second semester fees have also been applied to your account.  You can wait until the semester begins on February 1, 2024 to pay these fees.

 

Take Our Kids to Work Day – Grade 9 Students Only:

Wednesday, November 1^st is Take Our Kids to Work Day.  Traditionally, Grade 9 students are invited to accompany an adult (usually parent/guardian/family member) to work to learn more about the workplace.  This is a great opportunity for students to learn about what a work day may look like and allow them to start thinking about life after high school.  If you would like your child to attend, please email your child’s homeroom teacher (found in your my CBE PowerSchool Account under my schedule, Friday) to ensure their absence is recorded.  There will be alternate activities for those students who come to school.  For more information, please visit https://www.studentscommission.ca/en/take-our-kids-to-work.  If you have any questions about this event, please email your child’s teacher or Ms. LeBlanc at hlleblanc@cbe.ab.ca

Band forms are past due.  Please ensure all forms are completed and returned.

MPS Veterans:

For our upcoming Remembrance Day assembly we would like to highlight the veterans who are within our MPS family. If you have a veteran (past or present) in your life that you would like to share with the school, we will be creating a photo slideshow that students will watch during the assembly. All photos can be sent to Ms. LeBlanc (hlleblanc@cbe.ab.ca).  When sending your photos, be sure to include the name of the veteran, the name of the student, and a line or two about their time served. All photos need to be in by Friday, November 3^rd.
